Week 8: Pre-CNY

Chinese New Year Holiday is just around the corner. My manager has taken her annual leave back to her hometown in Penang. She has task me with following up on an upcoming product placement for the television program known as Bake & Sell 2. The program is a cooking show that challenges contestants based on weekly challenges similar to of Masterchef. However, there is a twist, they would also need to know how to sell the products. Two major brands, Cadbury and Oreo, from Mondelez have been place as one of the sponsors of the program by providing them with the ingredients. With limited information given and my manager out of the office, I was left with an uncertain situation after following up with the agency. However, I have laid out the action plan to which once my manager came back, I would be able to discuss with her on the proceeding actions.

It was like Christmas that week before the Chinese New Year. There was a lot of exceeding samples available at the possession of one of our agency. I have managed to coordinate for it to be sent back to the Mondelez head quarter and also the Shah Alam warehouse where it is to be distribute to all employees. Basically, I volunteered to bring the chocolates around to distribute to everyone at the office, creating a bit of joy and happiness in the midst of all the work. Some of the employees step up to help with the distribution. This is also part of given back to the employees as an appreciation toward their hardwork.
