It was after the Chinese New Year, loads of things had to be done which was pending the holiday celebration. I managed to catch-up with my manager to update her on several key items I was working on, one of which was the Bake & Sell product placement. With no confirmation from her during the previous week and my lack of understanding of the whole project, I had to hurdle everything up for everything to be ready by the mid of the week. I had to recalculate the samples needed and acquire any generic MDU available from the merchandizers. It was tough getting the right MDU for the placement which ended with using one that is for the Cadbury Sharebag. However, due to the lack of time, I had to acquire assistance from my friend to requisite the samples from the warehouse in Shah Alam. Mei Ying managed to secure for me transportation to the TV shoot venue. Once I was there, I became the merchandizer to ensure that all the products are place accordingly to ensure it is well displayed for high brand visibility. The task gave me both insights to how a product placement and merchandizing works concurrently together.
On top of the major project that I had to manage, several follow ups on my key tasks such as the Marvellous Creations on-ground activation and Seminar Room rebranding. It was tough juggling several task at the same time as I would need to plan out what could be done on the go while which items needed me to sit down and focus.
